Pictoplasma 2015 proposed 14 conferences to a thirsty crowd of animators, storytellers and various character designers.
Here, I gathered a review with a few sketches and quotes captured during the speaches in Berlin, last year, for your 2016 motivational needs.
The general impression was that everyone is doing this for the love of character design, not for the paycheck. Although some make it better than others in this imaginary world, everyone seams to have struggled at some point or another to aim where they are standing now, on the scene with a mic and a slideshow of their work projected for our pleased admiration. Except for Aki, who’s smile seamed to paved the way up to the top of the character la-la-land as soon as he was born.
